Abstract:
Treatment of [RuL(AsPh3)2]+ (I) (H2L = octaethylporphyrin), generated in situ in CH2Cl2, with CO at 1 atm gave [Ru(II)(L)(CO)(AsPh3)]+ (II) through intramolecular electron transfer. By purging the solution of II with Ar I was regenerated; this reversibility was repeated with approximately 95% yield in either direction.
