Abstract:
1H NMR spectra are reported for Ru(OEP)(Bu3P)2 (OEP = octaethylporphyrin dianion), Ru(OEP)(CO)L (L = ligands containing N and/or P donor atoms), Ru(OEP)(np)2 (np = diethyl(diphenylphosphinoethyl)amine, Ru(TPP)(np)2 (TPP = tetraphenylporphyrin dianion), and Ru(OEP)(dpe)2 (dpe = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane). The data indicate that: (1) within 6-coordinate porphyrin complexes, Ru may move out of the porphyrin plane; and (2) 7-coordinate Ru porphyrins are feasible.
